On Saturday, November 6, the Tyler Museum of Art presented an evening of fine art, delicious food, and unbelievable entertainment to a sold out crowd during Little Black Dress, the Museum's signature fundraiser. The evening's activities gave a nod to Carnivale with Brazilian inspired food and drinks by Dakotas, a samba parade performed by 360 Fitness, and of course, the unmatched excitement of featured performer, Michael Israel.

Known for his outrageous mix of rock 'n' roll and art, Michael's performance was an exciting mix of spectacle and skill that captured the imaginations of our guests. When he was finished, five large-scale canvases bore iconic images of stars like Marilyn Monroe, and The Beatles, as well as a patriotic pop art tribute to the Statue of Liberty. Even Einstein had his moment in the spotlight.

Michael has performed around the world at events as prestigious as the Presidential Gala, and the TMA is proud to have presented this incredible performance to our guests. If not for our generous sponsors, hard-working committee and staff members, and countless others who worked behind the scenes, this incredible event couldn't have been possible.

We would like to thank everyone who had a part in making this evening so special including Jerry's Flowers; Jimmy Lynn and the staff of Dakota's; Melinda Prince and the Zumba dancers of 360 Fitness; Bridgette's & Harley's; Grand Hotel Marriott Resort, Golf Club and Spa, Point Clear, Alabama; Hotel Palamar, Dallas TexasThe Matt Jaynes Steel Drum Band; Funktion Authority; Michael D.
