Family Programs Summer Art Camps TMA and Caldwell Zoo These camps are sponsored by the Tyler Museum of Art in partnership with Caldwell Zoo, coinciding with the TMA's special summer exhibition Into the Wild: Animal Art from Caldwell Zoo. Participating youngsters will spend mornings at the zoo Monday through Wednesday, moving over for art activities at the TMA on Thursday and Friday. Campers will have the opportunity to express themselves through a variety of media and techniques as art and animals come together in this unique summer experience. Slots are filling up fast, so sign your kids up today! "Critter Creations" Ages 79 9:00 a.m.noon, June 913 "Animal Art" Ages 1014 9:00 a.m.noon, June 1620 Cost for each camp session is $60 per child for TMA members, and $75 for non-members. Summer Art Camps at the TMA The TMA also is offering a series of special afternoon camps exclusively at the Museum, designed for kids age 69. Join us as we celebrate the new exhibition, Into the Wild: Animal Art from Caldwell Zoo, with an assortment of activities and turn the outside in! "Animal Safari" Ages 67 1:00-4:00 p.m., June 913 Pack your bags as we go around the world in search of awesome animals! Learn about camouflage in the animal kingdom and see how well you can hide your animal in a painting, explore the depths of the ocean to create a 3-D painting, and then travel to Africa to choose your favorite animal for a sculpture. "Adventures in Africa" Ages 89 1:00-4:00 p.m., June 1620 Get ready for an animal adventure as we explore the wonders of Africa! Learn about the Asante tribe and use their symbols to create a beautiful batik, then create paintings, mosaics, and sculptures based on the animals and environments of Africa. Family Days During Family Days, children and adults are invited to learn about the MuseumÕs exhibitions through art activities, storytelling, treasure hunts and more.
